About Us

Upcycle Arts is Charlotte’s first creative reuse center.

Upcycling — or creative reuse — is turning unwanted or unused items into something more practical or valuable. Upcycle Arts collaborates with Charlotteans and local businesses to divert their materials from the landfill. Instead, those materials are made available to the community for use in new ways such as mixed media arts. We connect to the community through our creative reuse center and our programming.

Our mission is to foster creativity, learning, and sustainable behaviors in our community by providing access to affordable reclaimed materials and the education to transform everyday objects into art.
